Dr. Christopher Kelly
Welcome to Tremont Elementary!
On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, I am proud to extend a warm welcome to all our students, parents, and community members. It is an honor to introduce myself as the principal of Tremont Elementary School, and I am truly excited to be part of this extraordinary community of learners, educators, and families. As someone who graduated with an engineering degree and a merchant mariner’s license, I gained valuable experience in problem-solving, teamwork, and perseverance. Just as success at sea depended on working together, success in a school comes from the partnerships we build—among students, staff, and families. Tremont is a place where every child is valued, every voice matters, and together we build a foundation for lifelong success.
At Tremont, we believe in more than academics—we believe in character, kindness, and community. Guided by our credo “We grow in kindness. We soar with learning,” we work to nurture both the hearts and minds of our students. Our school-wide GROW initiative— Give Respect, Ready to Learn, Offer Kindness, Work Hard—serves as the heart of our PBIS and character education program, helping children see that growth happens not only in what they learn, but also in how they treat themselves and one another each day.
As principal, my commitment is to listen, to lead with purpose, and to partner with families so that every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired. Our Success Plan reflects ambitious goals in literacy, math, and social-emotional learning, while celebrating the creativity, diversity, and strengths that make Tremont such a special place.
I am excited for the journey ahead and grateful for the opportunity to serve this wonderful community. Just as every crew works best when united by a shared purpose, Tremont thrives when we all work together. With students, families, and staff moving forward as one, there is no limit to how high we can soar.
With great enthusiasm,
Dr. Christopher J. Kelly
Principal, Tremont Elementary School
