Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and Community Members,

It is with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility that I introduce myself as the new principal of Saxton Middle School. I am honored to join this vibrant community of learners, educators, and families, and I look forward to collaborating with each of you to continue fostering an environment of academic excellence and personal growth.

My journey in education has been shaped by 17 years of classroom experience as a 6th-grade teacher, where I learned firsthand the importance of fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment and 5 years as a dean and Assistant Principal at Oregon Middle School.

I bring with me a commitment to student-centered leadership and a passion for creating inclusive and supportive learning environments. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to promoting academic excellence, nurturing student growth, and fostering a sense of community within the schools I have served. My educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student can succeed when provided with the necessary resources, encouragement, and opportunities to thrive.

As we embark on this new academic year together, my priorities are clear: to maintain the high standards of academic achievement that Saxton Middle School is known for, to support the social and emotional well-being of our students, and to ensure that our school remains a safe and nurturing place for all.

I believe in open communication and transparency, and I encourage parents and guardians to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas they may have. Your input is invaluable as we work together to provide the best possible educational experience for our students.

I am excited about the journey ahead and the opportunity to serve as your principal. Dr. Chris Kelly, Assistant Principal, and I are eager to get started and work with your children. Together, we will continue to build upon the traditions of excellence that define Saxton Middle School.

Mr. Petrosino brings over a decade of educational expertise to his role as Assistant Principal at Saxton Middle School. With extensive experience teaching mathematics at both the middle and high school levels and his prior work as the K-6 STEM Department Chairperson, Mr. Petrosino has dedicated his career to fostering a love for learning. 

He is committed to continuing his support for the students, staff, and community at Saxton Middle School, striving to make a meaningful impact on each student's educational journey and ensuring they receive everything needed to succeed. 

In his free time, Mr. Petrosino enjoys exercising and spending time with his wife and three children. As a passionate sports fan, he looks forward to the day when one of his favorite teams finally wins a championship!
