Dear Students, Parents, & Guardians,
As the summer days wind down and we prepare to embark on the 2024-2025 academic year, I want to extend a warm welcome back to each and every one of you. I hope you’ve had a restful and enjoyable break, and that you’re as excited as we are to dive into the upcoming school year.
This year promises to be filled with new opportunities for learning, growth, and achievement. Our dedicated team of educators has been hard at work preparing an engaging and challenging curriculum designed to inspire and empower our students. We’re committed to fostering an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and motivated to reach their full potential.
I encourage each of you to embrace this school year with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Take advantage of the many opportunities for academic and personal development, participate actively in class and extracurricular activities, and remember that our school community is here to support you every step of the way.
I also encourage you to not only think about this school year, but where do you want to be next school year, in three years from now, or even five years from now. Are you interested in the medical field or the business world or teaching or construction or cosmetology or music and arts to name a few? Our high school has so many different opportunities and offerings to take advantage of so do it while you are here. Think to yourself every day, “Am I doing all that I can to reach those goals and dreams?”
To our parents and guardians, thank you for your continued support and partnership. Your involvement is crucial to our students’ success, and we look forward to working together to create a rewarding and enriching experience for all.
Let’s make this school year one of our best yet. Here’s to a fantastic start and a year filled with growth, success, and memorable moments!
Welcome back, and let’s make it a great year!
Warm regards,
Randy E. Rusielewicz, Ed.D.

Dear Patchogue-Medford Parents/Guardians and Students.
To those of you who are new to our school, welcome! To those who are already part of our high school family, we’re glad you’re here with us.
As an Assistant Principal at Patchogue-Medford High School, I urge all our students (and parents/guardians) to take full advantage of everything this school has to offer and get/be involved.
I began my educational career in the health and physical education field and my coaching experience in several sports allows me to bring a spirited and dedicated approach to my current position. I understand fully that to achieve that coveted championship trophy, each team member must work hard and must work together. This, however, does not only apply to the playing field but to your education and life in general. Each day, it’s important to start the day on a positive note understating that we must put our best foot forward and come to school ready to engage. While you walk the halls of Patchogue-Medford High School take full advantage of the educational and extracurricular opportunities. Pay attention and participate, but do not let your education end when you exit the classroom. Continue to learn as you get involved in the clubs and afterschool activities or the many sport programs available here at our high school.
To name a few, some of my major responsibilities I manage are the preparations of the master course schedules for teachers and students as well as graduation planning and student promotion. I can tell you firsthand that this district is here to ensure that our students are given the tools they need to become well-rounded adults. We’re committed to offering our kids a variety of courses and we’re always inventing innovative ways to make sure that our students can take advantage of these opportunities. We are committed to making certain each graduate exits the halls of Patchogue-Medford High School prepared to take on whatever it is that their future has in store for them whether it be college, trade school, joining the military, or finding employment.
Giving your very best effort applies not only on the sports field but also education and in life. Looking forward to working with all of you as we continue together and give our very best effort to reach our utmost potential as students, staff, and community members.
Ms. Annette Mroczkowski, 10th Grade Assistant Principal

Dear Students, Parents, Faculty, and Staff,
I am truly honored to serve as the interim Assistant Principal at Patchogue-Medford High School, where our shared commitment to academic excellence, personal growth, and community support remains at the forefront of everything we do.
I am excited to bring my experience to this role, having entered the district with a background in teaching within the NYC Department of Education. My journey here began as a science special education teacher at Oregon Middle School, and I have since had the privilege of serving as a Dean at both South Ocean Middle School and Patchogue-Medford High School. Each of these roles has deepened my commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
At Patchogue-Medford, I believe that collaboration is the key to success. By working together, we can support each individual’s growth and ensure that all voices are heard. My goal is to foster a culture of mutual respect, where every member of our learning community—students, parents, teachers, and staff—is empowered and supported to reach their fullest potential.
I am excited for the opportunity to continue building strong partnerships and contributing to the success of our school. Please feel free to reach out to me with any ideas, concerns, or questions. Together, we will make this a year of growth and achievement for all.
Here’s to an inspiring and successful year ahead!
Warm regards,
Ms. Annette Mroczkowski

Ms. Christine Ordonez, 11th Grade Assistant Principal

Dear Patchogue-Medford Family,
It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve the students, staff, and families of Patchogue-Medford. This is a community rich in tradition, pride, and a shared commitment to excellence. The history, the culture, and the once-in-a-lifetime experiences offered here make Patchogue-Medford a very special place—and it’s easy to see that no one does it quite like we do. I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to contribute to all that makes this community so unique.
Before joining Patchogue-Medford High School as Assistant Principal, I had the privilege of serving as the Middle School Assistant Director of Special Education. Prior to that, I was a secondary Social Studies teacher, working in general education, bilingual, and special education settings to meet the needs of every student in my care. Those experiences have deeply shaped who I am as an educator and leader. They remind me daily of the importance of reflection, collaboration, and always striving to create the best possible learning environment for our students.
I believe that when we work together—with open communication, mutual respect, and a shared sense of purpose—we can achieve incredible things for our kids. I am proud to be part of the Patchogue-Medford family. Each and every day I look forward to motivating, supporting, and celebrating our students, staff, families, and community.
