Guidance, Counseling & Homebound Instruction
-
The Patchogue-Medford Guidance Department is committed to helping students achieve academic success, career and college readiness and personal/social development in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. Students are encouraged to develop attainable goals and counselors assist with developing strategies to help them achieve those goals. In collaboration with parents and the school community, students gain a more realistic understanding of themselves and viable educational and vocational choices. In addition, our department actively engages in Social and emotional learning (SEL) which provides a foundation for safe and positive learning while enhancing students' ability to succeed in school, careers and life. We work tirelessly to help students reach their full potential as contributing members of society.
