Dharminder (Dan) Sohal
Dan Sohal has been serving Patchogue Medford School District as an administrator since July of 2012. Before serving one year at Hicksville Public Schools as a Supervisor of Mathematics, Computer Science and Business Education, Mr. Sohal worked for William Floyd School District as a Mathematics Department Chair as well as an assistant principal at the middle school and high school. He started his career in the field of public education as a paraprofessional for New York City Department of Education. Other than teaching for New York City public schools, he has gained teaching experience in Yonkers Public Schools and William Floyd School District.
Currently residing in Center Moriches with his wife and a son, Mr. Sohal graduated from University of Bombay in India with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics. He earned his second Bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Excelsior College in Albany. Mr. Sohal graduated from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry with a Master of Science in school administration and supervision. He later earned Advanced Certificate in educational leadership from Hofstra University. Mr. Sohal has been a member of National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and Nassau County Association of Mathematics Supervisors. He is a member of Council of Administrators and Supervisors.
