- Click it to open your student’s profile page.

3. View your student’s communications
- On your student’s profile page, click the View Communication button in the top right corner.

4. See the communications sent to or from your student
You’ll see three tabs with different types of communications:
- Posts (default tab):
These are all the posts sent to your student, including school-wide or class updates such as announcements or news from teachers and staff. - Alerts and Notices: Coming soon
These are alerts and notices sent directly to your student (within the last 3 weeks), such as urgent messages, attendance alerts, or reminders. - Messages:
These direct messages have been sent to or from your student and school staff. You’ll see full message threads that involve your student.

These communications are view-only, so you won’t be able to respond, react, or comment directly in ParentSquare.
Lightspeed ParentPortal - 1:1 Device Internet Monitoring
Parents are provided with two options to monitor your child's internet activity on Patchogue-Medford School District devices:
Weekly Activity Report: Receive a summary of your child's web browsing activity from the previous week, including page visits and website metrics, directly to your inbox.
Lightspeed Parent Portal: Access a comprehensive web-based portal for in-depth visibility and control over your child's online activity. Portal features include:
- View allowed and blocked websites
- Pause web browsing
- Manage YouTube access
You'll automatically start receiving the Weekly Activity Report as a parent or guardian with an active email. Within the Weekly Activity Reports, you can register for an account to access the Lightspeed Parent Portal, which will provide additional reporting and the ability to block or limit specific web applications.
A guide explaining more about what is possible is attached to this message. Please note that you will not have control over all the items outlined in the guide, as the district may block them at any time. Should you have further questions, please verify that your email address within the eSchool Parent Portal is accurate
