As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety and digital wellness, Patchogue-Medford School District is pleased to provide families with access to the Qustodio Parent App. This platform gives parents additional visibility into their child's online activity on District-issued devices and includes the option to add one personal device per student at no cost.
One feature we strongly encourage parents to enable is Search Alerts. Qustodio uses AI to identify potentially concerning searches related to topics such as bullying, self-harm, school avoidance, and health concerns. When a concerning search is detected, parents can receive an email notification, a push notification, and see an alert directly within the Qustodio dashboard.
To verify that Search Alerts are enabled:
- Log in to your Qustodio account.
- Select your child's profile.
- Navigate to Rules > Web Filtering.
- Select Settings.
- Under Alerts, ensure the Searches toggle is turned on.
Additional information, resources, setup guides, and digital safety information can be found on the District website:
