    Office hours will be held 30-minutes before or after a teacher’s work day on Wednesday of each week. Teachers must post office hours on their Schoology page.  Additionally, a master list of Office Hours will be posted on each building’s website.

    Student Hybrid Schedule


    Group #1


    Grade 6, Grade 12, students enrolled in the high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program all students in grades 7–11 receiving English as a New Language (ENL) services, all students in grades 7-11 with an Individual Education Program (IEP) and all students who are currently experiencing homelessness. 

    • In group #1, students from both cohorts will receive in-person learning 5-days per week.
    • Students in group #1 who were previously enrolled in Full Remote Learning will remain on Full Remote Learning.
    • Parents who are not comfortable sending their child(ren) back to school for in-person instruction 5-days per week, have the option of registering for Full Remote. Students on Full Remote may transition back to in-person learning during the 4th marking quarter.  Parents must notify the Office of Instructional Services the week of April 12-14 of their intentions.
    • If necessary, students/schools/specific classes in group #1 will move to a Full Remote Plan only when COVID cases/contact tracing requires this to happen. Live streaming will take place for all courses when students are learning remotely.
    • Students will follow the A-Day/B-Day established by the school district.

    Group #2

    Grade 7 – Grade 11 students NOT receiving English as a New Language (ENL) services, students that do NOT have with an Individual Education Program (IEP) and/or in the high school Career and Technical Education Program (CTE).

    • In group #2, there is still an in-person student group and a fully remote student group (Cohort 1 and Cohort 2).
    • Students will receive in-person learning for the same two days every week, as well as alternating Wednesdays. This amounts to a total of five days of in-person instruction every two weeks. Students will participate in synchronous remote learning (live streaming) for non-in person days.
    • Students in group #2 who were previously enrolled in Full Remote Learning will remain on Full Remote Learning.

    Remote Learning will include:

    Synchronous Instruction - (Live Instruction in Real Time)

    • Students will be required to login to Schoology for each of their periods (excluding study halls).
    • Synchronous instruction may include, but is not limited to, the following:
      • Some classes may login for attendance and then release students to complete assignments independently at home.
      • Some classes may require students to stay on for the full duration of the class period.
      • Some classes may require students to stay on for a mini-lesson (15-20 minutes) and release students to complete independent work.
      • Some classes may require to login for the beginning of class, release students to complete independent work and then rejoin for the last 10 minutes of classes.

    Assignments may include, but are not limited to, completing assignments/tasks (comparable to homework), independent reading, viewing instructional videos, responding to posts from his/her teacher, conducting research or completion of project.

    Asynchronous Instruction - (Independent)

    •  Asynchronous instruction will include additional substantial equivalent instructional experiences.
    • Students will complete work on their own time. Individual teachers will give students specific timeframes and a clear deadline for submission of assignments.

    As per the NYSED Reopening Guidance documents substantial equivalent instruction may include, but is not limited to: meaningful and frequent interaction with a certified teacher; completing online work/tasks assigned by the teachers; viewing instructional videos; responding to posts or instructor questions; engaging with other class participants in an online or phone discussion; conducting research; doing projects; or meeting with a teacher with an instructor face to face, via an online platform or phone.  Any alternative instructional experiences must include meaningful feedback on-student assignments and methods of tracking student engagement.
