    Please join me in congratulating the following staff members who were selected as Employees of the Month.

     

    Robert Dudek, Custodial Worker

    Mr. Dudek works as a custodial worker at Barton Elementary. Mr. Dudek’s colleagues have expressed that he is an accomplished contractor and that he takes great pride in his daily assignments. He works tirelessly to improve the look and function of the building through painting and other tasks, which may often exceed his typical duties. Mr. Dudek has a positive, upbeat disposition and a wonderful sense of humor that his colleagues appreciate. During the summer Mr. Dudek put forth extraordinary effort to create a system to assist in organizing supplies that helped to account for items and ensured proper inventory. This included building shelving to better store overstocked items. His enthusiasm and efforts when it comes to assisting our students and staff are greatly appreciated, and I look forward to his continued contributions!

     

    Alyson Hennessy, Dual Language, Bay

    Ms. Hennessy works as a dual language teacher at Bay Elementary.  In her role, she consistently rises above and beyond the call of duty to support her colleagues with translation requests without any additional compensation. She maintains a positive, upbeat disposition that helps to promote a positive culture, and she is always willing to embrace new programs and initiatives that support student growth. She is extremely collegial as evidenced in the materials that she readily shares, and she actively researches and utilizes technology based applications to support student success. She has created her own progress monitoring report to keep parents informed, which she has shared with both her colleagues and immediate supervisor as a model to replicate. She consistently offers her classroom for observations in best instructional practice. In addition to her classroom responsibilities, she is a member of several district committees that meet after school hours, further demonstrating her commitment to support district initiatives. Her enthusiasm and efforts when it comes to assisting our students and staff are greatly appreciated, and I look forward to her continued contributions. Thank you for all you do!

     

    Gary Schuck, Custodial Worker, PMHS

    Mr. Shuck works as a custodial worker in our High School. The staff he interacts with have noted that he always checks-in with them to ensure their needs are met, and that he consistently leaves their classrooms in pristine condition. It has also been noted that he takes the time to mentor new hires and walk them through a process that ensures that they are well trained in order to meet tasks with a high standard. When needed, Mr. Schuck responds to requests without hesitation as evidenced when he is called upon for extra desks, chairs, to clean hazardous spills or any other request. We appreciate his dedication, attitude and the standard in which he performs his day-to-day responsibilities. His enthusiasm and efforts when it comes to assisting our students and staff are greatly appreciated, and I look forward to his continued contributions.

     

    These candidates represent some of the best of Patchogue-Medford and were nominated for their positivity, work ethic, spirit of collegiality and connection with students. We are honored to celebrate their contributions and the many more staff members who continue to exemplify the traits that make Patchogue-Medford stand out!
