Please join me in congratulating the following staff members who were selected as Employees of the Month.

Ms. Pfeifer works in Human Resources. She was recently promoted to a Senior Office Assistant position, but she has served as a clerical aide since 2013 making her the senior member of our department. Ms. Pfeifer exhibits the upmost professionalism and dedication and her work ethic is second to none. She completes a wide array of duties in a short amount of time, and she always completes her work timely, accurately and with a positive attitude. She embodies a service mentality, and readily takes on new tasks without complaint or hesitation. She has provided guidance and direction to new members of our department, and has taken the initiative to enhance procedures to help streamline the onboarding process and assist with recruitment fairs. When interacting with new hires during the pre-employment process, her genuine warmth, knowledge and communication skills serve to assist in fostering a supportive relationship and positive culture from the get-go. Her enthusiasm and efforts when it comes to assisting our staff are greatly appreciated, and I look forward to her continued contributions. Thank you for all you do!
Lauri Riordan, Network and Systems Specialist, Technology Department
Ms. Riordan works as a Network and Systems Specialist in our Technology Department. She has demonstrated tremendous initiative and commitment, as evidenced when she reported to River Elementary on a Saturday to assist with updating computers in order for them to be ready for districtwide AIMSWEB screening. She returned to River the following Monday to ensure everything was working efficiently and stayed to mediate any obstacles that may have impeded the testing process. Through her actions, the students and staff reported no significant issues with the screening and she helped to allay staff concern, subsequently reducing anxiety and stress for all involved. Her enthusiasm and efforts when it comes to assisting our staff are greatly appreciated, and I look forward to your continued contributions. Thank you for all you do!
Nicholas Thomas, Computer Aide, River
Mr. Thomas works as a computer aide at River Elementary. He consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure technology needs are met promptly. He frequently puts in additional time beyond his regular shift, and he is responsive to staff and student needs. During AIMSEWB testing he made sure the computers were charged, he brought in extra headphones and stayed well beyond his shift to ensure the test administration ran smoothly. Throughout the testing window he displayed problem-solving skills, and his calm, cool demeanor helped to alleviate unnecessary stress and frustration. His enthusiasm and efforts when it comes to assisting our staff are greatly appreciated, and we are proud to recognize his accomplishments this evening. Keep up the great work!
