Medford Chorus Takes Singing Talents Beyond the School Stage
Students Perform at Long Island MacArthur Airport and on WALK 97.5 to Spread Joy and Build Their Confidence
PATCHOGUE, NEW YORK (JANUARY 2024) — The Medford Elementary School Chorus has used its musical talents to spread joy to Long Islanders. Fourth and fifth graders under the tutelage of Choral Teacher Susan Rudnicki extended their performances beyond the school stage to Long Island MacArthur Airport and the Anna and Raven Show on radio station WALK 97.5.
“The students did a wonderful job representing our District and have a great deal to be proud of,” said Patchogue-Medford School District Superintendent Dr. Donna Jones. “These opportunities to sing for larger audiences have enhanced their skills, confidence, and passion for performing.”
The Medford Elementary School Chorus participated in Long Island MacArthur Airport’s holiday concert series for the first time. For its annual concert series, MacArthur Airport selects talented local music groups to perform during the holiday season to raise the spirits of passengers, employees, and guests. Family and friends are also welcome to attend. The Medford Elementary School Chorus was honored to be a member of the esteemed cohort chosen for this opportunity. Students happily sang holiday tunes and the audience eagerly took part in their rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas.”
The chorus then furthered its reach with an exceptional performance on the Anna and Raven Show on WALK 97.5. Their voices were appreciated by listeners across Long Island, inspiring happiness in the winter season.
