National Junior Honor Society | The National Junior Honor Society is an organization that recognizes and encourages achievement; membership is both an honor and a commitment to service. This Society is a select group of outstanding students, whose members have earned excellent grades and are student leaders that possess qualities that make the faculty proud. Members are always expected to help and maintain involvement in positive activities and work hard to benefit Saxton Middle Schools and the community. | All year/once a month |
Chess Club | Chess Club consists of a group of students who enjoy playing Chess It is open to all students, even those who do not know how to play. During our meetings, students can learn how to play the game or improve their strategies. During Chess, we relax, unwind and play in a supportive environment. Board Game Club | Board Game Club is a club for students who are interested in meeting with peers to play games that are not centered around new technology. Girls Inc | Girls Inc. is a safe and comfortable space for all girls to express themselves and support one another. In this club, they will learn to value their whole selves, discover and develop their inherent strengths, and receive support they may need to navigate the challenges they face. | Every Tuesday |
Positive Choices | The Positive Choices Club is a place for students to reflect and learn how to make more positive choices. After school detention is used in this club so have restorative conversations. | Every Thursday |
Book Club | The Saxton Book Club will be a place for children who love to read to come together to read a novel and have a place to have open and honest discussions about the text. After completing the novel we will put together a short overview of what we have learned and gained from coming together. | Every Thursday |
Homework Club | The homework club will be a safe and supportive meetup after school to give students a safe and quiet place to complete assignments. It also offers vital support to students who may need an extra hand or safe space to complete assignments. | Monday-Thursday |
emPowering Minds | The emPowering Minds Club seeks to increase student involvement in bringing awareness to various mental wellness topics.
