Pumpkin Circuit

Do you know how many grams a pumpkin weighs?  With seeds? Without?
How many similarities and differences are there between an apple and a pumpkin?
Will a pumpkin sink or float?
Can you make a list of all the ways pumpkins can be used?
Have you truly studied the depth of creases on pumpkins?
Could you write a cinquain poem about a pumpkin?
These were the assignments Mrs. Kocivar challenged her fourth grade students on
during her Pumpkin Circuit lesson plan.  Students were encouraged to use their
imaginations, their mathematical calculations and scientific method skills
to complete the six stations of the circuit.
