Junior FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (Jr.FLL)

Medford Elementary School's Junior FIRST LEGO League
was one of only six teams throughout
Nassau and Suffolk Counties to participate in Long Island's
 first Jr.FLL competition.  Held at Longwood High School,
the children (ranging between the ages of six and nine)
were required to answer questions posed by two judges,
discuss the machines that were built, explain the Show Me Poster,
and work together in a LEGO two-minute challenge. 
Medford's team walked away with the Show Me Poster award,
as the display poster incorporated student drawings,
 research data taken from an internet research activity on climate,
 as well a photographs of the students at work.
