On January 8, 2003 twenty-eight PMHS students competed in the DECA Regional Competion held at Suffolk Community College at the Selden campus. A thousand students from high schools throughout Suffolk County took part in this daylong event.

DECA is a national business club providing educational and leadership activities for high school and college students. Each year more that 110, 000 students participate in business competitions on the local, state and national level.

PMHS DECA had twenty county winners. These students are now eligible to participate at the New York DECA State Career Conference in Rochester, NY. State winners will compete at the national event in Orlando, Florida.
