Suffolk Regional competition - February 2008

On Thursday February 7 the Pat-Med Business Department Club, FBLA, participated in the Suffolk Regional competition for FBLA D1 2008 at Ward Melville HS. There were nine schools and over 175 students competing. We had ten students participate in five different academic events with three students placing. Taking second were Eric Albrecht in Advanced Accounting, and Stephanie Ryan in Marketing. Winning her event was Kaitlyn Karlya in Job Interview. Henry Gao earned a 4th place finish in the College Accounting competition. Also participating were Joe Loeb, Jon Afanador, Zach Biederman, President CJ Gordon, Jason Kesner, and Jason Gandhi.

* FIRST PLACE * - Briarcliff College High School Business Plan Competition - November 2007

The FBLA Club participated in the Briarcliff Business Plan Competition and won for the second year in a row. The project was an All-Purpose Hand-Held information device. The team presented a 45 slide project complete with an advertising brochure and proto-type. Seven schools and thirteen teams participated in the event. Presenting the project were Stephanie Ryan, Jason Gandhi, Jason Kesner, and Eric Albrecht. Leading the FBLA club in the preparation were CJ Gordon, Henry Gao, Kaitlyn Karlya, Al Erickson, Jon Afanador, Zach Biederman, Joe Loeb, and Krista Sanniola. Congratulation to all the students for a job well done and a special shout out to their advisor, Rich Butzke.
