Each year the Patchogue Medford High School Art Department submits student artwork in a variety of exhibitions and show throughout the school year in many places on Long Island.

This has been a banner year for the students whose work has been honored in a very competitive year. Melonie Deloney's work was featured on the cover of the Heckshere Museum All Long Island Select Student Exhibit. Jessica Vitale and Ryan Wolper won the Special Award at the Bellport Art Exhibit.

In a partnership with the business department at the high school, Deanna Paquette and Ryan Wolper were selected by Mrs. Meyer of the business department to work in two different design firms in the Graphic Design Department. Ryan is designing brochures and posters and Deanna will be working through the summer months.

There were hundreds of applicants to the New York State Summer School of the Arts this year through participation in the Media Arts Show at Five Towns College. One hundred students were chosen for this honor and among them are Kristen Persico, Sasha Escobar and Jennifer Martinez. The three will spend four weeks this summer at SUNY Brockport and SUNY Buffalo to study Photography, Graphic Design and Fine ARt.

At the First Congressional Art Show this year we had katy San Domenico and Ryan Wolper take honorable mention awards.

Will Walker had an outstanding year in art. He was awarded Best in Show at the C.W. Post Advanced Placement Art Exhibit. Will also won First Place in the Bellport Art Show and First Place in the First congressional Art Show hosted by our congressman Tim Bishop. Will will receive three plane tickets to Washington to attend the opening ceremnoy in Congress and his work will be on display in the halls of congress for one year.
