Dear Parents, Students, Faculty and Staff,

I would like to begin by introducing myself.  My name is Anthony O’Brien and I will be serving as the PTA President this year.  On behalf of the Eagle Elementary PTA Board, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back to Eagle those of you already a part of our community, and a great big welcome and hello to those of you who are new to our school!  I hope you all had a great summer and are ready to delve into a new school year with high hopes and expectations.  Here at Eagle we are lucky to have a fabulous group of teachers and staff that are so dedicated to guiding our children through their elementary school experience. 

When you add an equally hardworking PTA organization to the above, parents who are dedicated to doing the best for our children, volunteering their time in the classrooms, providing assemblies, parent workshops, Family Fun Nights, Parents As Reading Partners, Fun with Numbers, Plant Sale, Movie Nights, Book Fairs, and much, much more. There are many places where you can see evidence of the hard work the PTA parent volunteers do to make Eagle a great learning place for our children.  Please consider the important role the Eagle Parent Teacher Association plays in your child's life at school. There are so many ways that parents contribute, and by joining the PTA you can make a statement that you support the mission and activities of our organization and that you support our children.

This year will prove to be challenging in the sense that our district is on a contingency budget.  With this challenge ahead of us the PTA Board is dedicated to bring the community that encompasses Eagle Elementary School together for the common cause… our children and our future.  We are more committed then ever that our children, teachers and parents miss out on nothing because of budget constraints. Vincent Lombardi once said that “the achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual.”  As we kick off this new school year remember we are all called to stand up and be apart of the Eagle team and together watch us soar.
