Procedure:
1. Group children in teams of four to six students for center work
2. Organize students according to assignments
3. With two students per computer, students will access the Internet to appraise information on spelling
4. Students will have agreed upon period of time at each Center to complete assignment
5. Students will enter the Internet through the Internet book on the School Vista bookshelf
6. Students will click on the left hand box, the Read mail box
7. Students will click on READ at the bottom of the screen
8. Students will click on the paper clip in the upper right hand corner of the screen to access sites
9. Students will cooperatively practice words at site
10. Students will compare and contrast value of
sites to curriculum and report their decisions to classmates
Evaluation:
Students are able to access the Internet and read mail sent by teacher
Students are able to evaluate sites and present information clearly in a variety of oral and written forms
Students are able to spell correctly the words of the week
Students are able to recall and use previous words
